Eli has made a career of helping organizations around the world to develop and execute world-class marketing, branding, and communications strategies. Eli began his career as a writer and editor at various publishing houses. In 1982, he co-founded and helped to take public BioCell Technology Corp – a clinical health-care company – where he served as Director of Marketing and Communications. He has created advertising, direct mail, public relations, videos, and other corporate communications and strategic marketing programs for such clients as: CBS Entertainment, CBS Sports, Chase Bank, Coca-Cola, Ernst & Young, Hyatt, IBM, Merrill Lynch, Sanus Health Systems (now New York Life), and World Cup USA. Eli has also extensively served a number of non-profit clients.
At CBS Sports, Eli has won six Emmy Awards for his production work with “The NFL Today,” the NCAA Basketball Championship Tournament, and the Olympic Winter Games. He was also nominated for an Emmy for his Anti-Drug Public Service Announcements, which aired during the Super Bowl. Mr. Spielman has also earned a number of APRA Gold Awards for Excellence from the Advertising and Public Relations Association.
Prior, Eli was National Director of Marketing for Ernst & Young LLP, where he developed an award-winning brand-marketing campaign with properties including the National Entrepreneur of the Year® Awards, which he produced for prime-time telecast on CNBC. In addition, he was a pioneer in Internet marketing, helping to launch Ernie®, the first online consulting service, and overseeing the redesign of the firm’s Web site, www.ey.com, which was voted “Best Corporate Site” in 1998 by the International Web Page Awards, and was rated the best professional services Web site by Dow Jones.
Eli is a graduate of Yale University and the Columbia Graduate School of Journalism.
